Short CV

2001- Degree in Biology, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Mexico)
2007- Ph D in Biological Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid
2008-2014 Post-doc researcher at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala (Mexico)
2015, 2017-2018 Post-doc researcher at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales

Current position

Lecturer

Research lines

Currently my area of study is focused on Evolutionary Ecology and Animal Ecophysiology. I am interested in understanding the proximal mechanisms and final causes of behavior, particularly the function and evolution of social signals and the physiological mechanisms involved in their production and maintenance. My main lines of research are: Sexual selection, social selection, maternal effects and signaling theory. My study model is birds.
