Research lines

My research focuses on the functional ecology and structure of dryland communities around the globe. In particular, my interest is to find climatic thresholds in the functioning and structure of these areas, which are especially sensitive to the aridification that the planet is suffering due to climate change. Among the topics that I have addressed are: Community Ecology; Mathematical Modeling; Ecosystem Functioning; Ecological Transition Thresholds; Modeling of Ecological Niches; Desertification.
