Research interests

Keywords: bioassays, ecotoxycology, emergent pollutants, lichens, nitric oxyde, oxydative stress.

Specialised in the field of biomedicine during my PhD period I have worked until recently developing new methods for cancer research (proteomics) and tissue engineering. After a promotion to associate professor of cell biology in a department of conservation and biodiversity I plan to develop my career into ecotoxicology, applying recent developments in cell biology and toxicology to identify new mechanisms by which environmental contaminants alter an organism’s ability to reproduce, respond to environmental stressors and grow, thus affecting biodiversity in ecosystems. My specific interests are focused on: population and community ecotoxicology, vertebrate wildlife ecotoxicology, biomarkers and integrated ecological and human health risk assessment.
