Supervisor: Luis Cayuela.

Within the GILES project (Geographical variation in the impacts of land use changes on ecosystem stability) I am carrying out vegetation, insect and bird samplings in different points of Madrid, Toledo and Cáceres, including the National Parks of Cabañeros and Monfragüe. I take measurements of foliar damage by herbivores and predation rate of insects by birds. The main species of my thesis is the holm oak (Quercus ilex) and my goal is to understand the complexity of the ecosystems in which it occurs.
