Short CV

1999 Degree in Biology, Universidad de Sevilla

2004 PhD in Biology, Universidad de Sevilla

2006 Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Osnabrueck, Germany

2014 Postdoctoral Researcher, European Institute for the Biology of Ageing (ERIBA), Groningen, The Netherlands

Current position

Lecturer

I teach Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology and Biotechnology.

Research lines

My research is mainly focused on the study of the aging process, the protein quality control strategies and the mechanisms regulating mitochondrial homeostasis. I use two unicellular eukaryotic models: Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Schizosaccharomyces pombe.
