2014-2016 – Associate Researcher, University of Western Australia.
During my PhD I focused my research on knowing the metabolic rates (primary production and respiration) of the oceanic plankton communities at a global scale, mainly in the tropical, subtropical and polar regions. I have also studied the responses of these metabolic rates to global change-mediated stressors, such as the increase in water temperature and the increase in UVradiation reaching the surface of the oceans. Currently I continue with a research devoted to know how microoganisms can help us fight processes driving global change.
