Current position

Assistant professor.

I teach two subjects in the degree in Biology: Physiology and Animal Ecophysiology (2nd course) and Impacts of Human Activities on the Biosphere (4th course).

Research lines

Currently my area of study is focused on Evolutionary Ecology and Animal Ecophysiology. I am interested in understanding the proximal mechanisms and final causes of behavior, particularly the function and evolution of social signals and the physiological mechanisms involved in their production and maintenance. My main lines of research are: Sexual selection, social selection, maternal effects and signaling theory. My study model is birds.
